Did the president take time from his vacation long enough to visit Ted Kennedy?

Now that Senator Kennedy has died, did "The Prez" make an effort to interrupt his vacation long enough to see Kennedy?? He owes Kennedy a HUGE debt, did he repay it?

jake77 		I assume you mean did he go see him before death? Because the man has only been dead a few hours.

I do believe he stopped in Hyannis Port on his way to Martha's Vineyard (which are very very close).

Anyhow, its not like he knew exactly when the man was to die. Though this whole time that he has been sick he has seen him and wished his family well.

jake77 		He contacted the family and was asked not to visit because Ted was so close to death and the huge logistical undertaking to get the president there would have been an imposition.
