jake77 		I haven't heard anyone belittle him. He was who he was, a typical liberal who believes words speak louder than actions. That intentions are everything, despite the consequences.
Welfare was well intentioned. But it didn't do what it was intended. Crime is worse per capita and poverty is as bad. But those facts get in the way of liberals fooling Americans into believing they're different than other politicians.
Legal abortion was supposed to make the world a better place because there would be no more unwanted kids, thus reducing poverty and crime. Woops. That hasn't worked either. But that matters none to liberals.
Liberalism is about thinking about "feel good" programs without thinking about any of the consequences. And Kennedy was as good as any.

jake77 		The honorable Kennedy was killed long ago right after he dared oppose the federal reserve. In all honesty, THAT Kennedy was our last real president.

Ted Kennedy murdered a woman and never went to prison. Add to that he never paid taxes in his life, as his career was based the immoral act of stealing from everyone else.

Im not sure what there is to honor. Lord forbid another monument worshiping our empire is erected in washington over this man.

Media is the only group who cares. This is why the television shows dedicated to him right after his death got dog crap for ratings. Odd, seeing how the majority of people here are over medicated on prescription antidepressants and fast food - I would have expected them to obsess over Kennedys deaths almost as much as Michael Jackson.

jake77 		It has nothing to do with Republican or Democrat. Any adult should know not to talk bad of the dead. How petty would someone have to be to belittle a dead stateman.

This goes for ANY stateman, Republican or Democrat.

jake77 		I find it amazing how many Republicans talk about loving this country.

Yet, they try and belittle a man who dedicated 47 years of his life fighting for laws that would make and did make this country a better place in which to live.

So sad, huh?

But to those who try and belittle him, remember this: You have to be little to belittle.

And as far as how he lived his life, the good, the bad, and the ugly, well, Senator Edward Moore Kennedy doesn't have to answer to anyone but God.

jake77 		Should be easy to tell. The real republicans will be attacking his policies, and perhaps giving credit for positive things he did. The fake republicans will be attacking him simply for being king of the liberals.

Look at when Reagan died. Most liberals weren't nasty, but may have pointed to a few bad policies he had when they got tired of hearing republicans trying to make him into the greatest president ever. And then there were a few liberal idiots who just wanted to deliver mean and deceptive one-liner jokes about the iran-contra affair.

I guess you can't tell with some of them--like Matt. I'd lean toward him being a real republican, even though he does seem to be the paranoid type who sees an evil plot behind everything.
