Why is it that music like rap/hip hop is all about random thugs making money and getting hot girls?

I know that this is a long sentenced question but why is the rap/hip hop community always about money and not meaning. Maybe it's just mainstream music but i'm getting tired of it.

jake77 		Yea you def need to look up other artists then what ur hearing... cuz what ur talkin about is all mainstream, like what the first guy said. Its something most people can relate to. Check out some underground artists... like... Sun Zoo, Atmosphere, Immortal Technique, Dilated Peoples, Cunninlynguists, Killer Priest, Jedi Mind Tricks. check them out. theres more but I dont really know what ur into.
